black theatre continuum

 The Village Theatre is born of a sense of artistic responsibility to increase the Black voice and  to provide a space for Black artists to articulate the complexities of how we write, act, direct, produce, and design with the artistic freedom to create methods of black acting. The Village Theatre will add to Sacramento’s rich theatrical mosaic by showcasing the works of both emerging and established Black artists. The Village Theatre will conduct educational workshops and  produce quality plays that will create an environment to train emerging theatre professionals and develop playwrights.
